Venture Men's 2-in-1 Run Short - Black

This is my third pair of shorts from Burnt. Love the comfort and feel. My 1st was running specific with the BRC logo. Loved the gel pockets at the back. As my local store doesn't have them, I tried the 2 in 1. A little heavier to the feel but with adequate pockets for gels and bigger item in back.

Burnt should think of a Roady ultra distant pair i.e. for Oceans Comrades where you don't carry a back but need storage that doesn't bounce.

Incredible! By far the best gym pants I’ve ever owned. They’re incredibly functional and well designed with all the compartments they have. The built in phone holder on the elastic underpants is super nice too as it stops your phone flapping around when walking or running!

This new Burnt short has been such a great purchase. It gave my lovely husband so much more confidence while running. Now he can focus on his run instead of worrying about shorts that don't fit properly. Burnt, you did a great job here!

Great fit super comfortable when running .

Having owned 3 pairs of the previous gen trail shorts as well as a pair of the BRC running shorts - I am happy to report these new ones are a much more versatile and robust pair.

-The four gel pockets on the back are equally distributed(vs 2 on the trail and the same as the BRC shorts) and have ample room for everything from a small card style gel up to larger isotonic ones.

-The pocket at the back can easily hold an average sized smart phone or an array of snacks. Seeing as there is now a pocket on the liner this can truly be a versatile pocket.

-a very underrated feature is the exposed loop on the waist of the shorts. this is great for looping clothing you may want to take off or save for later. I am sure in the future there are other uses I will come up with.

-The in built briefs are good, they offer a decent fit and are not extra tight around the thighs but remain snug, even with a smart phone in the pocket I experienced no discomfort or chafing and the phone was held secure with no bouncing around.

-The S-Biner on the front has for me proved to be a great aesthetic addition but hasn't offered me any real practical use. What I can say is that the quality of the metal used is great.

Room for improvement - The waistband on these is substantially beefier than the one used on previous models(already a huge improvement). When packed fully (as I had mine for a marathon with x4 small gels, x4 bars, smartphone and emergency medication) you do have to make the drawstring quite tight, this means often means the drawstring is doing a lot of the lifting rather than the waist elastic.
It would be nice to see either a wider waistband to provide additional support or some reinforcement on the front of the shorts to better distribute the pressure of the drawstring.

Overall - These shorts get a solid 9/10 from me. I have already purchased a second pair and plan to use them for short and long distance on the road and on the trails.

Was looking for top quality running short and found it at Burnt. Pricing also fair for quality.

Practical and thoughtfully designed with perfectly placed pockets for your gels and small items you may need to run with. I can see myself running in the mountains or on the road with this super comfortable running shorts.

Ended up buying the men's shorts as the ladies' fit just wasn't quite cutting it. Really enjoying them so far - well thought out design features all round such as ample spots for stowing energy snacks, phone and keys (no more running belt needed, which is great, because mine would ride up and start flopping about in annoying fashion). Really wish they would design women's shorts in a similar style though (slightly longer overshort and a tad looser). Fantastic that the inner short just stays put and doesn't ride up. A bit of unravelling on one of the belt loops already, hence the missing star, but it's a minor issue, otherwise would definitely be five stars.

I have previously received Burnt clothing as a gift when the men's range first launched, and while I liked them, they did not stand out for me. However, trying these (Venture Men's 2-in-1 Run Short) has shown how far the brand has come. The shorts are exceptionally comfortable and well designed, with appropriately sized pockets as well as a pocket on the thigh. Further, the gripper on the tights makes them incredibly comfortable without riding up, and the overall fit is great. Would highly recommend.
